About KT AI Learn
Most people don't get long, uninterrupted stretches to study. School, work, family, and everything else break the day into fragments — a few minutes here, a bit more there. Traditional courses ignore that; they're built for someone with a free hour and a fixed schedule. KT AI Learn is built for the gaps instead.
The mission
Turn scattered pockets of time into real, lasting SSAT vocabulary knowledge — not just exposure. That means every part of the app is built around two constraints: sessions have to fit whatever time you actually have, and what happens in that time has to actually stick.
“Fragmented time” isn't just marketing copy here — it's the design constraint behind the planner, the goal system, and the way words get scheduled for review.
How the system works
A real daily plan
Onboarding asks how much time you actually have and turns it into a concrete plan — a handful of sessions a day (3–4), each long enough to get somewhere (10–20 minutes), at times of day you actually pick. When one of those windows opens, a quiet in-app reminder offers to start it — no accounts to configure, just a nudge while you're already there. Every plan can be edited later, in full, from the dashboard.
A goal that adapts to you
Each session has a word-count goal, shown up front alongside a live countdown you can drag out of the way, shrink, or hide entirely. Clear the goal with time to spare and the next session asks for a bit more; string together a rough couple of sessions and it eases back down instead of staying out of reach. Every session ends with a quick Synonym Challenge round on exactly the words you just saw — the difference between having seen a word and actually knowing it.
A streak that means something
Your streak only counts a day once every planned session for that day is done — not just “opened the app once.” Milestones along the way — words learned, time invested, days in a row — earn badges on your dashboard.
The research it leans on
None of this is a clinical claim — it's inspired by well-established ideas in memory research, applied as pragmatically as a small app can:
- The forgetting curve.Hermann Ebbinghaus's classic finding is that most forgetting happens soon after first exposure, then levels off. That's why a brand-new word gets reviewed again within a day, and a word you keep getting right gets spaced out further each time (see the scheduler's interval logic).
- Spaced repetition. Reviewing on an expanding schedule beats cramming for long-term retention. Every word you practice has its own review schedule that adjusts based on whether you got it right.
- The spacing effect, applied to a session — and a day.Early on, a session is mostly new words; by your third session, it leans mostly toward reviewing words you've already missed, tapering rather than climbing to all-review — some new intake always continues. It's also why the planner spreads sessions across morning, midday, and evening rather than back-to-back: re-encountering a word hours later, not minutes later, is what actually drives it into long-term memory.
- The testing effect. Actively retrieving a word (a synonym question, not just re-reading a definition) cements it better than passive review — which is the whole reason each session hands off to a Challenge round on those same words.
